Pastor Buzz Wheeler brings warmth, wisdom, and a deep love for scripture to Lake Villa UMC. With a heart for both newcomers and longtime members, he leads with grace and a commitment to the United Methodist mission of making disciples for the transformation of the world.

Lay Leadership
Church Leadership Structure
Lake Villa UMC is led by both ordained clergy and dedicated lay leaders — volunteers from our congregation who give their time and talents to serve the church.
Church Council Chair
Provides leadership and governance for the congregation.
Treasurer
Oversees the financial stewardship of the church.
Worship Committee
Plans and coordinates Sunday worship and special services.
Trustees
Care for the church building, grounds, and physical property.
Staff Parish Relations
Supports and advocates for church staff and clergy.
Missions Committee
Coordinates local and global mission and service opportunities.
